How long have you been involved in the equestrian industry & how did you start out?
I've been riding ever since I could remember. Mum and Dad bought me my first pony for riding around the farm. I started competitive show jumping at 5 and the rest is history really!
What’s a piece of advice you’ve been given that really resonates with you?
Love the horse first, love the sport second. I think as riders we can get caught up in the competitiveness of it all and lose sight of the bond with the horse and their wellbeing.
What do you love about Hinterland, do you have a favourite product and why?
I love the quality and the fact that there's so many styles to chose from, I can always find a good fit for any horse.
My favourite product would have to be the Gel Grip Reins! My reins never slip and I recommend them to all of the young riders I teach!
What are some things you look for when selecting tack for your horses? Why do you think it’s important to use good quality tack?
I pay special attention to how the tack fits on the horse, I think the horses comfort is really important. I really like how Hinterland's products are anatomically shaped.
I think it's important to use good quality tack because it stands the test of time and is worth the investment. I still have Hinterland tack that I purchased over 9 years ago!
What are your goals for the future?
I love producing horses, that’s my passion. My goal for the future would be to produce more horses to Grand Prix level.
